Remix: building on a show someone else made
A remix takes a published work and changes it, keeping enough of the original that it still belongs to it. On AI showcases it usually means building on another creator's characters and world. From 3 source pages, read 2026-09-25 to 2026-10-25; no maker pays to be listed.
Showrunner makes it the point of the platform: every show is playable and remixable, and viewers can branch the canon and write the next episode while the creator keeps control of it.
Its homepage is a front page of shows: a featured show, a Where to Start shelf of 19 shows that each carry a Remix link, and a Top 10 Watched shelf.
Google Flow's Reuse Prompt button is the lightest form of the same idea: it copies the text behind a clip rather than the clip's world.
A remix differs from a clone in who stays in charge. A clone becomes the visitor's project; a remix stays attached to the show it came from.

2What finished work comes out of
The finished work behind “Remix” is made in steps; SceneMixer's guides describe them:
An AI short drama is a serialized show of 60–120 second vertical episodes whose cast, sets and footage are generated by AI. Making one takes six steps: analyze the script into episodes, lock a consistent cast with reference art, localize for your market, write and edit storyboards, generate each 4–15 second shot, then composite and publish.

It is the reference every later segment points at, which is what keeps a character's face and a location consistent across an episode.
