What AI makers show of finished work

UGC: work made by the tool's users

UGC, user-generated content, is work made by a tool's users rather than by the maker or a studio it hired. Showcases use the label to separate the two. From 3 source pages, read 2026-09-25 to 2026-10-25; no maker pays to be listed.

Mootion marks every card in its collection UGC. Showrunner credits each show to the user who made it, such as @fabian_mosele on its featured show, while StoryShort's community cards name the model and the prompt and no creator. Anijam lists UGC marketing as one of its six homepage shelves, where it means videos made to promote products.

The same three letters cover two things. On Mootion they mean who made a piece; on Anijam they name a genre of advert that looks like a customer made it.

User work is the closest a showcase comes to showing an ordinary result, though it is still chosen by the maker from everything users made.

Where a showcase mixes user work with studio pieces, the label is what lets a visitor tell which is which.

Size matters too. Mootion's collection runs to more than 18,000 pieces and StoryShort's community page shows 24; the larger the pool of user work on show, the truer the picture of an ordinary result, for a visitor with time to browse it.

2What finished work comes out of

The finished work behind “UGC” is made in steps; SceneMixer's guides describe them:

It becomes a marked line — inner voice or narration — so it is heard while the picture shows something worth watching, rather than becoming a shot of somebody thinking.
